A few months back I posted a shell script for backing up your cPanel account automatically using cron and curl. I updated the file a bit, and now it creates files with monthly names (for me, at least).

cPanel Email Forward to Several Addresses

I'm not sure in how many different uses this has, but cPanel allows email forwarding to several addresses (by using several forwards, from address A to address B, A to C, A to D, ...). For instance, I created an email address that forwards to my wife's inbox and to that of my own.

Justin Cook wrote an article how to backup your cPanel stuff with PHP&Cron. Well, the PHP part didn't really work for me, so I had to create an alternative approach.
Enter curl.
Put the following in an executable file (or download it) and include it in your crontab. [...]

SquirrelMail Error: Invalid mailbox name

A pastor of our international church in Espoo said that SquirrelMail wasn't working anymore. The frame where the folders used to be, now said
ERROR:
ERROR: Could not complete request.
Query: CREATE "Sent Messages"
Reason Given: Invalid mailbox name.
The fix involves two easy steps, the latter being voluntary.

Rename .sqmaildata folder (in your file system root) to something else, say, [...]
